Who to Follow this SAFW

Who to Follow this SAFW

No matter how excited I get for SAFW ( South African Fashion Week) there is always that fear that I will be disappointed. There are only a handful of designers that inspire me enough to write an article about their work- and I have already written about them numerous times. The other designers either bore me, offend me with their lack of taste or drive me crazy with their lack of originality. This is certainly not a popular opinion amongst the fashion world and thus I have become known as a hater. I want to see our local designers slay the game, if we never give them any sort of constructive criticism they’re never going to grow. However I have decided to steer clear of anything too controversial and rather focus on the one aspect of fashion week that always inspires me- the Attendee’s. We have some of the most eclectic fashionista’s in the world who are versed in breaking tradition and creating originality.  Here is a list of SAFW attendee’s you should follow now!

Moloto has been in the fashion game for a while and has learnt the ropes of killing it at each and every SAFW. As the SMag fashion editor, Moloto always brings a much needed Afro-freshness to whatever she is wearing.
