Is it just me or has Braamfontein become over-saturated with sneaker stores? It’s great to see these boutique’s opening up all over Jozi yet Braamfontein seems to leave me wanting more. Braam has been swept up in the sneaker game and I’m not having it. So imagine my surprise when I stumbled upon DOE: Design Of Europe. A Lovely boutique run by an even lovelier woman, Jocelyn Andrews. DOE has just become my go to store in Jozi. Sophisticated yet vibrant, fashionable yet approachable. this store has ticked all my boxes.
It is refreshing to come across a brand that wants to explore the ‘vibrant South African crowd’ and our version of city living. Instead of opening stores in the usual spaces ( i.e Rosebank or Sandton) DOE has taken the brave route and opened their doors in one of Jozi’s hippest and most vibrant districts, Braamfontein. Braamfontein or more affectionatly known as Braam is rich in history and culture and has seen a complete transformation and renovation in recent years. It is thanks to people and brands such as DOE who will keep the Braam transformation alive and push it even further.
With brands from all over Europe, DOE offers their clientele a very unique and stylish shopping experience. You can choose from an assortment of brands while mixing and matching from each of their specific ranges. Whether you are looking for business-chic, read-to-wear garb or perhaps their limited edition range excites you… DOE has your every need covered.
Vero Moda, Desigual ( a personal favourite), Levi’s and Jack Jones are just some brands you’ll find in this gorgeous little store. DOE provides Braamfontein with a much needed dose of originality and choice. Found at 87 De Korte street, DOE perfectly fits into the hustle and bustle of Braam street life. An urban attitude with a fashionable twist, be sure not to make my mistake and get there now, especially for their latest sale! Visit their Facebook page and get all the information you need.
