With models and designers already arriving in Jozi, you can feel the excitement in the air. For this weeks Man Crush Monday, Big Bad Wolf has decided to create a list of the men to watch at this years AFI. Take a look.
It is impossible to discuss South African fashion without the name Rich Mnisi being thrown around constantly. Having won the prestigious African Fashion Award in 2014 for the Young Designer of the Year, Mnisi is proving his talent time and time again. His clothes are an absolute favourite, being found in the pages of Marie Claire, GQ and Elle to name but a few. This runway show is sure to be a treat.

Maxhosa by Laduma
Possibly one of South Africa’s most popular designer exports- Maxhosa by Laduma is the finest knitwear brand found on this large continent, in our little country. Proving that fashion need not follow the western norms, Laduma has skilfully juxtaposed Amakrwala ( Xhosa Initiation) traditional dress with a more modern design. Big Bad Wolf cannot wait to see the Spring/Summer twist he brings to our local runways. Watch this Space.

24-year-old Malete AKA Buda is a designer with a cause and impeccable taste. Passionate about effecting social change by “giving birth” to new methods in apparel, Buda is more than just a designer… He is a revolutionist. The founder of Digital Fabricz has worked with some of South Africa’s top designers such as Tuelo Nguyuza and Khothatso Laurence Tsotetsi. Big Bad Wolf sees big things in Buda’s fashion future and we cannot wait to witness it all come together in a couple of days.
